MINT OIls

Known for its Mint Festival in August, Livingston Farms is proud to be a contributor to the St. Johns community’s annual celebration. Though there are numerous varieties of mint, we distill peppermint along with native and scotch spearmint. Not only can you use mint oil in recipes, but it also is known to have many therapeutic purposes. It has been known to be soothing to sore muscles. Personally, we use peppermint oil topically on burns and blisters and to relieve the side effects of the common cold, headaches and migraines. Our Peppermint and Spearmint oils are both essential oils, with nothing added. They are pure and a little goes a long way. You can buy our Essential Oils on the farm, at Fabiano’s Pizza and Deli in Grand Ledge, Amazin’ Mitten in Frankenmuth, Tranquil Moments Massage in Elsie, Aquarius Massage and Wellness in Owosso and AdornMint, Phillip’s Orchard, OhMi Organics and the Country Store in St. Johns. DavePops also uses our mint oil in his Mint Chocolate Chip recipe!

MINT COMPOST

Mint compost is a great addition to any garden or flower bed and is used to provide valuable macro-nutrients to soil.  Mint is high in nitrogen; one of three macro-nutrients that most plants need to grow and thrive.  The nutrient content of mint compost is nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potash– potassium (K), and sulfur (S), with an average pH of 6.8-7.

We sell our Mint Compost for $30/yard.

We can deliver for an additional $4/mile.

We also sell it in 30lb bags (appx). These are available for purchase at the farm or The Garden Shop in St. Johns and limited availability at the farm from late April - early July each year. We may have some available outside of this time frame, email us to find out.

Bags sold at the farm are $7.50/each or 3 bags for $20.
